The Fishing
The fishing on Bahamas’ Acklins Island is a dream come true, especially for the angler that loves to wade. The flats are expansive, varied and prolific. A majority of the flats are hard-packed sand, crushed coral or solid marl. Mangrove flats, grassy bays and, extensive creeks create a spider web of dynamic bonefish habitat. The lodge’s location offers great access to some of Acklins’ most remote areas. Not only are there huge populations of bonefish that reside in these waters, Acklins also offers a respectable permit fishery and tarpon can be found seasonally. Aside from three traditional flats boats, Top Choice has two center console boats for those interested in outstanding light-tackle action off shore or on multiple miles of reef.
